
Connecticut approves 8 new conditions for Medical Marijuana Program

In a press release from the Connecticut Department of Consumer protection dated August 28, 2018 8 new conditions for adults and 2 new conditions for patients under 18 were approved by the regulations Review Committee of the General Assembly.
The new Medical Marijuana program now adds:
For Adults
- Spasticity or Neuropathic Pain Associated with Fibromyalgia
- Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Post Herpetic Neuralgia
- Hydrocephalus with Intractable Headache
- Intractable Headache Syndromes
- Neuropathic Facial Pain
For Patients Under 18 and Adults:
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Osteogenesis Imperfecta
There are currently 27,340 patients benefitting from the medical marijuana program, 953 certifying physicians, and now a total of 30 conditions approved for adults and 8 for patients under 18.
